As the founding director of the Consortium for Research and Evaluation of Advanced Technology in Education (CREATE) and the co-director of the Games for Learning Institute, Dr. Plass is at the forefront of educational research. With over 120 journal articles, chapters, and conference proceedings under his belt, Dr. Plass is a prolific author and thought leader. His contributions extend beyond academia, too – he’s the lead editor of Cognitive Load Theory (Cambridge University Press, 2011) and the Handbook of Game-based Learning (MIT Press, 2020), and his work is a part of the discourse on learning and technology worldwide.
